Een heel klein portretje van een klein, bijzonder diertje. Er valt zoveel interessants te vertellen over de bijen, en ze zijn ook nog eens prachtig… neem nu deze honingbij; met zijn zachte wollige voorkant, gladde transparante vleugeltjes en glimmende achterzijde, wat een mooie contrasten in dit heel kleine lijfje! Ik heb dit portretje geschilderd in acryl, houtskool, wasco en pastel op een houten schilderpaneel en de ingelijste afmetingen bedragen 21 x 16 cm. Het is apart te koop maar ook als een klein tweeluikje samen met het tweede deel, dat dezelfde afmetingen heeft en dan verticaal is afgebeeld.

  A small work it is, this honey bee portrait. There is a lot of interesting stuff to tell about these tiny creatures and they are also very beautiful on the outside… if you take a moment for a good look you will find that there is a surprising amount of detail ánd some very beautiful contrasts in these little bodies. I really enjoyed painting the fluffy parts, the transparant wings and shiney hind end! This little painting is made in acrylics, pastels, charcoal and wax pastels on wood panel. The framed dimensions are 21 x 16 cms. I also made a second version so it can be acquired as a little diptych.
