Voor dit bijzondere portret van een paard heb ik verschillende materialen gebruikt; pastel, houtskool, acryl en waskrijt. Ze combineren en contrasteren prachtig met elkaar. Als je op de detailfoto’s hier onder kijkt kun je het nog wat beter zien; de heel vloeibaar aquarelachtig aangebrachte verf, met de pasteuze metalliclaag zijn twee uitersten samen en zorgen voor een interessante textuur die verandert alnaargelang het licht er op valt. Het werk is geschilderd op houten paneel en de ingelijste afmetingen bedragen 33 x 63 cm.

  I used several different materials to paint this special portrait; charcoal, chalk, acrylics, pastels and wax are all in the mix.They combine ánd contrast beautifully together. In the close-up pictures below for example take a look at the combination of the watercolor-like background with the thick metallic paint that gives an interesting texture, and changes with the lighting. This equine portrait is painted on wood panel and the framed size is 33 x 63 cms.
